The Last Dode

What

The Last Dode is a marble solitaire game. The goal is to remove as many marbles from the board as possible. You remove a marble by jumping one of its neighbours over it to an empty space. There’s a simple tutorial in the game to explain it fully. It’s quite a tricky game to win, but if you get down to even 2 or 3 marbles left, that’s pretty good!  

Dode

So, I’ve been saying marbles for simplicity but this game is played with Dodes. A dode is something I made up. It’s like a marble. The game was originally invented some time before 1697 by french turbo nerds but, obviously, there were no dodes in France back then.

Use a Mouse

The game is controlled by mouse and probably won’t work well on mobile or tablets.

Unimportant Information

I made all of the art and music myself and used the Godot game engine. 

Sometimes this game is played with pegs instead of marbles, so it’s also known as “Peg Solitaire”. This one is played with dodes, as we’ve discussed.
